For a large supermarket chain, the selection process for new stores requires a comparison of maintenance costs at alternative locations. Once a new store has been constructed, its share of corporate M&R funding is determined partly on local cost trends. This study served both purposes by providing a comparison of model supermarket M&R costs in 16 southwestern cities. |
