Whitestone Appoints Jay Janke to Lead Federal Services in Washington, DC
SANTA BARBARA, CA - January 17, 2006 - Whitestone Research strengthened its Federal Facilities Management practice with the appointment of Jay Janke to the position of Director of Federal Services. Janke brings to Whitestone clients over 30 years of experience working with federal facilities, most recently as Deputy Director for Installations Requirements and Management in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
Janke's work in cost forecasting and investment strategies has helped re-shape federal real property management. With DoD, he was the architect of a new generation of facility cost models that have simplified Defense accounting and increased credibility with Congress. These models, which fully account for facility sustainment, recapitalization, and operations, are rapidly being adopted by other agencies as they work to meet new federal reporting requirements.
